Transportes Metropolitanos de Lisboa (TML) has launched a tender for the acquisition of 1,260,000 Calypso Prime contactless cards to support its role of managing the 20 year old contactless multi-modal ticketing network based on Calypso technology.
Covering more than 3,000 square kilometres and supporting five million journeys across multiple different modes of transport every day, the system operating in Lisbon must be able to adapt to various different passenger and operator needs. Calypso Prime has enabled TML to create a single ticketing platform that unifies operators throughout the region, ensuring a consistent and reliable ticketing experience.
This public tender invites procurement proposals from suppliers, detailing the requirements that must be met to ensure the compatibility and interoperability of the contactless cards within the TML network.
The tender was launched through the SaphetyGov platform. Interested parties can learn more about the details of the tender process by registering on the platform and searching the code CPI08/2022.
National or foreign companies may apply before the end of January 2023 – 30 days after the tender advertisement was published in Diário da República and in the Official Journal of the European Union.
