Over the summer, the French capital hosted the 2024 Olympic Games, while the Paralympic Games have just begun, attracting millions of visitors from around the world. Thanks to IDFM, Samsung and Calypso open standards, travelling around the city is now easier than ever before!
Making it easier for passengers to buy and validate tickets, with a device they already own, is convenient and highly secure, with the ticket stored in the phone’s tamperproof embedded Secure Element (eSE)*. It also enables the network operator to reduce its use of physical tickets and continue the important process of dematerialization.
Built upon Calypso open standards, the Navigo ticketing offer within the Samsung Wallet covers the whole range of fares: unit-value fares (such as zonal rates), fixed-date subscriptions (like a daily / weekly / monthly travel pass), variable-date subscriptions that are activated on the first validation (such as tickets for music festivals or sporting events, like the Olympic Games), Pay as you Go fares, and more.
So, whether you choose to travel by bus, metro, tram or RER, the power to do so is now in your pocket! Validate your transport tickets even if your Samsung phone is switched off or without remaining battery*, beat the queues and enjoy more time exploring one of the world’s most enchanting cities.
*On compatible Samsung phones. Up to 24 hours and up to 15 validations maximum
