This document specifies the version 1.1 Edition 2 of the Calypso Basic product.A Calypso Basic product is a contactless smartcard containing only one application1, which shall comply with the requirements of the present document. The focus of this product is mainly access to public transportation and eventually any associated services that can be combined into a simple and limited use title.
Calypso Basic is an application largely compatible with the Calypso Prime Revision 3 specifications:

This document covers all the requirements for Calypso Basic and makes reference to the Calypso Light or Calypso Prime specifications for topics that are common to the entire range of products.
